Yes, that is seriously how life has been. FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC! I love school, I love friends, I love learning about who I am, and I love trials.
Lets go backwards on that list-
I really do mean that I love trials. Yes, you can reread that statement if you want, but I love em. Sometimes in the beginning of a trial I may not be so grateful, but I know that trials truly are designed for each person individually. And from those individual trials, we can choose to grow or not grow. Sometimes I truly sit and wonder why some trials have to come upon us, but then I am reminded of the sore trial that came upon my (our) Savior. He felt everything. Every feeling that has ever been felt by every person who has ever lived. I think about my life as a girl and those mood swings alone are enough to make me feel bad for inflicting that on Him, but I know I have inflicted Him with more than just that.
I KNOW without a doubt that He knows each one of us individually and personally and He knows our hearts. And that to me, is fan-freaking-tastic :)
Learning about who I am-
Hmmm... weird concept there. I've been myself for 19 years now (yes, yes I sure did get older a few weeks ago) so I probably should know myself by now right?
WRONG!
Since starting school I have learned a lot about myself.
For starters- I LOVE to cook; I have especially enjoyed cooking with my friends or cooking for others. And I'm not half bad if I do say so myself! :)
Second- I like the house to be clean. I definitely took that for granted at home. My mom always says that it isn't clean, but it really always seemed to be. So guess what.. I've made my bed EVERY single day since starting school. And those days when I didn't, my fan-freaking-tastic roommate would make it for me.
Third- I have become "tough," kind of. Funny story- I broke my nose again. I won't go into all the nitty gritty about it, but we were making cinnamon rolls in my apartment yesterday and there was a flour war and my nose became in the way of someone's elbow. Quite funny, I laughed really hard. No worries, it didn't bleed, it hasn't bruised (it's being just like my first broken nose), and I somewhat straightened it myself. Ya, I really did, believe it! And no if you are wondering (mainly if my brothers are wondering), I didn't cry at all, I actually laughed really hard when it happened.
Fourth- I love my family. And they have truly had the biggest impact on my life. It's funny how when I meet new people and you're going through that awkward get to know you thing, my family is one thing that I can go on and on about. I've also realized how much of a "parent's" girl I am. I love my daddy and I think I become more and more of a daddy's girl every day. And my momma, well I'm pretty sure I can't go too long without calling her because I just have so much to tell her. I've been blessed with one amazing family.

Fifth- I'm not afraid to be myself with my style and my personality. I love who I am and how I dress. Sometimes it's a little out there, but sometimes so am I. So here's my new outfit. Red skinnies and vans. I'm a fan and yes, they're fan-freaking-tastic!
Working it |
Friends-
I have finally figured out that you need to surround yourself with the kind of people who allow you to be what you want to be and who believe in what you CAN be. My roommates are that; that was my one concern about school, and I had nothing to worry about. Funny story- President's weekend 3 of my roommates left to go visit family; let me tell you, I was sooo sad. I hadn't stopped to think how close I was to those girls and how much I love being around them! Then when Kaycee came home on Monday, we hugged and squealed from excitement to see each other. Did I mention how fan-freaking-tastic they are?!

That dreaded 6 letter s word- School
School at BYU-I is by far the best. That is my opinion and I may be completely biased, but that is my judgement on this situation. I love praying before every class. I love the bells in between classes. I love the friendship you feel from everyone. I love my ward. I love FHE. I love MY FHE family. I love my teachers. And I love what I'm learning. I'm so grateful to come to one of the Lord's schools and to have all these opportunities available to me. It's also the best because on those weeks when MOW (middle of week syndrome) is really kicking in, you can get some Kiwi-Loco or other yummy treat, feel the spirit in one of these dedicated buildings, or go to the temple and truly feel His presence in your life and the MOW just goes away. School is just fan-freaking-tastic!
Well now that I've just about bored you to the point of not wanting to read anymore, enjoy more pictures!! PS, there a few of just some new exciting things for my family!
