Radha Krishna- Festival of Colors!

Let's see how has Michelle grown up now just over the weekend?! I took a road trip without my parents this weekend. Ya, it was awesome.
To start our story, let's start off by saying YAY and CONGRATS to my roommate Whitney. She's engaged! :) I'm so happy for her and Sawyer. PS.. Sawyer is our FHE brother!

After he proposed at 5 IN THE MORNING!
Now skip to later that day- Thursday night. We (Kaycee, Kelli, Kaitlyn, Whitney, Emily, Russell, Brendan, Sawyer, Blitch and Blaine) loaded up the cars and went to Idaho Falls and watched the midnight premiere of The Hunger Games. It was so good! We got home late, but hey it was worth it. I got 2 hours of sleep that night and 4 on Wednesday night because of the early morning proposal.

On those 6 hours of sleep, I drove to Utah with Emily, Kaycee, Blaine, and Blitch. Yes, I drove. I'm telling you, I feel like a big kid now! :)
We were headed down for the Festival of Colors and just to spend some time away from everything.
On the way down, the backseat slept a lot of the way (Blaine, Emily, and Kaycee), our DJ for the trip (Blitch) would make funny faces at the cars driving next to us, and we ate A LOT of cadbury eggs :)
We met up with Blitch's family and then went on down to their house where we made dinner and watched YouTube videos until one in the morning.

Saturday- The Festival of Colors

Kaycee and I before the festival

Our group- Blaine, Blitch, Kaycee, me, Parker, and Andy
Emily had stayed at her sister's house so she went down later with some other friends.

Awesome story- I asked this random girl to throw chalk on Blitch... She threw half a bag at his face and yes, it went in his mouth. He was spitting yellow for awhile- I love that his brother is just laughing in that picture

We caught the llama looking! Yes! :)

Kaycee and me!

The rest of the day on Saturday we were running around outside barefoot playing kickball and jumping on the tramp. Oh, and by the way, it was warm enough to get sun burned :)
Thanks to the Shuman family for letting us stay with them!

We left after going to sacrament meeting with Blitch's family and we made one last stop on the way home at temple square and the conference center. I love the spirit on temple square.
I cannot deny the spirit that is felt at that beautiful place!
Funny story though- Blaine was supposed to be directing me to the temple. Well, he was a little tired and fell asleep. We woke him up and asked him what street to turn onto. His response- "ya, temple street." He was a little tired and didn't make a lot of sense, so I asked, "Is West Temple the right one?" "Ya, ya that's a good one."

I'm so grateful for all the friends I've made this semester. I'm so glad that I had the chance to go to Utah with these friends! It was such a good trip and much needed to get away before finals week begins. Thanks to Blaine, Kaycee, Emily and Blitch for such a good time! :)

And this is how the trip ended :)

Well, I'm off to study my brains out for the next week and a half!

Much love-

Those boys of mine :)

Yep, those boys of mine- man they're pretty awesome. If you couldn't tell yesterday was definitely "one of those days" for me. I called home and cried to my momma Lu twice. I was just entirely and completely overwhelmed. Last night at FHE my boys knew I wasn't feeling my happiest and they just made me feel loved and appreciated :) Thanks boys!
BUT! Not only did they do that, but they started my Tuesday off with a big smile. When I opened the door to leave for class, this is what I saw

I busted up laughing; how amazing are they?! That long line of blue ones is a rap that they wrote for me :) seriously... I love them

You know those boys that are the very best? Ya, these boys are those kind of boys. I'm so blessed to know them and have them in my life.

Much love-

One of those days

You know those days when things are just don't go how you want them too?! Today has been one of those. I woke up early this morning (more like attempted to wake up early) to do some extra studying for a test in one of my classes today. I woke up to my alarm at 5 am, rolled over and said my morning prayers and lo and behold I fell asleep again.
My wonderful roommate Whitney, who also has a 7:45 class, kindly came and woke me up at 6:45. I was not so happy with myself.
Not only that, it was snowing.. horizontally and I had the privilege of walking to the Ricks building for class. Then sitting in my math class, it was one of those days in math when there isn't a set answer to the problem.
Ya, that really drives me crazy.
I like to know what the answer is and why it works. But that was not going to be the case today I guess. Why can't math just be simple?! Walking in between classes a bunch of different things  came to my mind that I need to get done in the next 2 weeks, I had a slight panic attack at the thought of how I was going to do it.
Then I had the opportunity to take my fantastic test. We'll see how that went when the score comes in.
After that, I made that walk again in the snow and wicked wind to come home for lunch and I looked in the mirror. Bad idea- I've never seen myself have bags under my eyes that big. Awesome. And some other frustrations kicked in and I was ready to be done for the day.

But then I was brought back to what our second counselor spoke about in sacrament yesterday-
Our Savior.
Ya, today hasn't been my favorite and I really just needed to vent for a minute with this post, but I have no reason to be unhappy and feel unloved. I know without a doubt that my Savior went to the Garden of Gethsemane to take on all my bad day woes and stress so that I wouldn't feel like I was ever alone. I know that He also did it because I'm not perfect- far from actually. But because of that beautiful gift of the atonement, I can become perfected through Him.

I'm so grateful for this gift and especially around this Easter time. I hope and pray that as we all take on our "one of those days" days that we can remember that it will get better- it may not be today, or tomorrow, but someday everything will be as it should be.

Now for the goods! I have pictures to share! :)
