I believe

I believe in struggles. I believe in trials. I believe in growth. I believe in change. I believe in the priesthood power. I believe in Christ.
This post is mainly just for me to sort through my thoughts and my feelings, so bear with me.
Today was rough-period. No explanation, just tough.
I called my mom (you should all I know she's my go to) and as we talked, the tears couldn't help but falling. Sometimes, I don't know what Heavenly Father has in store for me and I don't know why He has placed some things in my life, but I know there is a purpose, I just don't see it quite yet.
After that phone call though, I had the opportunity to ask for a blessing from some guys in my ward. I'm so grateful to know that there are people I can turn to without explaining anything. I'm grateful that they are led by the spirit in a way that they don't need to know anything about what's going on to know that to say to bring that sweet peace into my life.
I don't know what He wants for me to learn from this experience, but I believe in Him.
I believe that no matter how the storm rages, there is a safe harbor to turn to- my Savior.
I believe in me and I KNOW He believes in me too.

BYU-I don't mind if I do

No, no, I'm not saying the whole "BYU-I do," I'm just saying I love being here
I love this campus, I love my roommates, and I LOVE this gospel!
I love my ward, I love my FHE group, and yes, I even love my classes. I'm so excited to be here and to start this new chapter in my life. I know that Heavenly Father truly wants me here right now and I know that my life has been changed in the week that I have been here. My testimony has grown and I know that I can handle myself. I've officially done my own laundry, cooked my meals, and even cooked for my whole apartment. Mom aren't you proud of me? :) How many times have I called to ask her questions?! Well, let's just not mention that number..
I am so blessed to be here on this campus at this time. I had some friends comment on me not going to a "real" school. This is a real school. I'm learning real things about the gospel and life and how it all relates. I'm so grateful for the opportunity I have to met the friends I have and to be studying what I'm studying.
I'm working on getting some pictures taken. I just haven't gotten around to that yet, what can I say I'm a busy college girl! :)
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands right?! No, no, let's change the words a little. If you're happy and you know it, SMILE! I swear I can't help but smile on this campus. I love the Spirit of Ricks and the happiness there is up here! So keep on smiling my friends!
Happy blogging!

Week 15!

Week 15 has been slightly out of control and I'm glad its over. I'm glad I made it out alive :) just kidding!
But I have been a busy bee and have accomplished a lot. I went grocery shopping for college and got a lot of school stuff done this week.
Now for the real fun stuff :)
I was asked to make a cake (covered in fondant and all that jazz) for my old boss.
It was supposed to be a lion king themed cake. What's the first thing that pops into my head when I think of Lion King? Pride Rock and the log that they cross when they're singing their song and swaying their heads back and forth! Hakunah Matata, what a wonderful phrase; I dare you to not let yourself start singing the song.
The end result you ask?!

Alright, alright here it is!

Pride Rock is made from Rice Krispie treats and shaped to look like that!

Simba, Nalla, Scar, and Zazoo are missing but Scar was on one of the sides, and Simba and Nalla were on top! The top and bottom layers were 2 chocolate cakes with a nutella filling. The middle layer was vanilla with nutella filling! You like?! It was definitely fun! It might be something I could take some classes for.. but I don't really know yet!

Week 8 and 9..

Finally, I know you have just been waiting by your computer to see these finally posted! But here it is! In my family we "draw" or just go in an order to get presents for siblings for Christmas. This year I had Troy and Carrie family. And this is what I did for them (Keep in mind I'm not a scrapbooker in any way)

Thank you Pinterest for making me feel like one crafty woman! :)
