BYU-I don't mind if I do- Round 2

I've been back at school for a week and a half, and life is great!
I came back to the same apartment, but it's completely new. Only one of my roommates stayed from last semester and the rest were new. Honestly, I feel like I have known these girls for years and it's only been a week and a half.
They are already influencing me and there are little things that we all do now because of one another.
I'm so blessed to have them as roommates and best friends :)
Welcome to the girls of apartment 406, where we're the best of friends and have already started making memories.
We like dance parties, staying up late, PIZZA, talking, laughing, YouTube, BELTS, and boy bands.
I love em!

First Sunday! Rachel, Hannah, Rachel, me, Kelli, Stesha

All of my classes are teaching me things not only about the subjects that they are on, but a lot about myself. I love that about this school. I'm learning so many things, but it's definitely an individualized experience. We each have the opportunity to learn many things everywhere we are, we just simply need to apply ourselves and seek learning opportunities.

FHE- fan-freaking-tastic!
I loved FHE last semester and I love it again.
Our boys are in apartment 26 this time and we also have the girls in 405.
For our first FHE we did pudding drops. You have a partner and they stand on the highest balcony and try to drop pudding into your mouth. Hilarious. It ended up as a full on pudding war.
Our family :)

This semester has also brought a few new adventures of me too.
I have this new thing for thunderstorms.
I have officially tried sushi. And I liked it. Weird, I know.

I'm so excited for this semester and I know that it's going to be a semester I will always remember and love. I'm so grateful that the Lord has blessed me with all of these girls and new friends.
Watch for lots more posts about all of these crazy new adventures, I'm sure there's going to be many, many more :)

Much love-

Arizona- Hello sunshine!

Hey friends!
I never posted about our fantastic trip to the state of sunshine and sun burns, so let me tell you all about it :)

We left when I got home from my last class and we drove through the night to Phoenix. We met up with Troy, Carrie, and the kids at the hotel they had stayed at that night. Let me tell you how stinking great it was to see them again.. I hadn't seen them since my Iowa trip and to be around them again was so good. It's crazy how every time we're together it feels like no time has passed at all since the last time I saw them.
We then all went to our new hotel and waited for Trent, Lindsey, Logan, Cody, and Kinzie to get to the hotel and we went to the Phoenix Zoo.

My family's backside :)

Look at those little legs!

Ok, turtle story time- Mason loved the turtles and we were at the edge of this little pond looking at them and my Dad reaches in and grabs one. The kids thought it was great, when he put it back in that turtle shot away so fast, he was not a happy turtle. But it was funny for us!

Pure happiness :)

Little Logan and his "safari" hat

That night we had a bbq at our hotel and swam and just talked as a family. I love making memories with my family.
Friday the boys all went out to play Frisbee golf while us girls stayed and swam/sat out to tan and burn. That night we went to the Mesa temple to watch the Easter pageant. It was such a good production to feel the spirit of Easter and more fully appreciate our Savior and His life.
Saturday was the wedding, luncheon, and reception.

Sunday we all woke up early to fly back home to Iowa and Idaho.
It may have just been a quick vacation to the valley of sunshine with the fam, but spending time with them always ends up making some of the best memories-
Hand stand contests in the pool, pull up contests, and coming home to "Its like sitting in a hot tub, just not sitting and not in a hot tub and walking on hard pavement" - Makes total sense right?! :)
Overall message of this post-
I love my family.
Thanks to my family for influencing me to be a better person every day so I can be the kind of sister and daughter that you are proud of. I love you

Much love-
Mitch

Welcome to the family

It's time to shout HOORAY!
Why are we shouting?! Well, for one life is grand and deserves a hooray every now and then.
But my main reason- There was an addition to my family this past week. We added the final Fowler sister on Saturday.
Chelsea Fowler.. fits right in doesn't it?!
Let me tell you why I love Chelsea-
This semester her and I both lived at Nauvoo House. Crazy though, we were neighbors. She was one door down from me and I'm so grateful for her friendship/sisterhood this semester. There were plenty of times that I went over to talk or vent to her and she just listened and understood.
From spending so much time with her, I say and do things that she does. Such as "Oh hey friend," "Make good choices," calling a mixer a vroom vroom, and this squeal sound I ow all of these things to her.
And points to her for figuring out my nickname that I really like (Mitch).
Thanks Chelsea
These two compliment one another so well and they make each other so very happy. I'm grateful that they have each other and were married in the temple for eternity.
Welcome to the family Chels!

Aw.. the hopeless romantic in me swoons over this one

HOORAY! :)

Much love-
Mitch
